After one semester at the University, Contractor went to an audition on a call-to-action basis for the show Pericles in the highly regarded and renowned Stratford Shakespeare Festival [Ontario, Canada and got the leading role. After the show ran for 92 times, she was rewarded with praise from the audience. The production was recognized as the top production in Canada by critics. The actor was invited to take part in the conservatory, where the top eight men as well as four women can be accepted to take a crash course of 20 weeks on the classical stage that she gladly accepted. Contractor got a confirmed spot for the following season and was given the role of Hermia.
